Passport services - requirements & details
To get detailed requirements for a particular service, please select the desired service from the list given below.
In addition to the fee, an amount of S$ 10.80 will be charged (per application) as service charge.
Select Passport Services
Passports are renewed within 15 working days from the submission of the application.
The passport application form should be submitted by the applicant personally together with the Indian Passport, one coloured photograph, a copy of Singapore NRIC (Original to be produced for verification) and the relevant passport fee.
A copy of the police report should also be submitted in case one is applying for a replacement passport in lieu of a passport that has been lost or damaged.
Tourists who have lost or damaged their passport could be considered for an emergency certificate (EC). An EC is a one-way travel document valid only for one return trip back to India and is issued after the High Commission is satisfied as regard Indian nationality. Once back in India, the applicant may approach the office which had issued the original passport for issuing a duplicate passport on production of the EC.
As and when an Indian National obtains a foreign nationality, he / she is not entitled to retain his / her Indian Passport and has to surrender his / her passport for cancellation.
This is also applicable for children even though Singapore allows retention of Indian Passport after acquisition of Singapore Nationality.
Change of Particulars
In the event of change of particulars such as change in name, date of birth, place of birth, address, addition and deletion of spouse name etc., the applicant is required to request for a fresh booklet. The High Commission will thereafter issue a fresh passport.
Documents required: Please submit application for fresh passport available with the authorized service centers or download from http://www.hcisingapore.gov.in supported with:
Proof of Date of Birth i.e. School or college certificate.
Copy of the Govt. of India Gazette Notification in case of change of name
Deed-poll from Singapore lawyer, in case of change of particulars in the child passport issued in Singapore.
Copy of marriage certificate and official decree of divorce issued by the Court for deletion and addition of spouse name and photocopies of above documents.
For change of address: submit copy of Aadhar card, PAN card, Telephone bill, bank statement etc.
